How to change your Subscription

See the below steps for modifying your subscription plan.  

  1. Click your Icon/Avatar in the top right corner
  2. Click on your name in the menu to View your profile
  3. Click Manage Products to open a dialog that shows the actions you can take for the subscription:
    • Add a product
    • Increase seats
    • Upgrade a product
    • Reduce seats
    • Downgrade a product
    • Cancel a product
    • Undo a scheduled change


How Changes Take Effect

  • Immediate changes: add a product, increase seats, and upgrade a product.
  • Scheduled changes: reduce seats, downgrade a product, and cancel a product at the end of that product's current billing period.
  • Undo a scheduled change: remove a previously scheduled cancellation, downgrade, or seat reduction before it takes effect.

Example:

  • If you reduce seats on a monthly Standard product, the lower seat count starts on that product's next renewal date, not immediately.

Add a product

To add a product to an existing subscription:

  1. Open Manage Products.
  2. In the Add Product section, choose the product you want to add.
  3. Choose the billing interval if more than one option is available.
  4. Enter the number of seats.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Review the estimated cost shown in the confirmation dialog.
  7. Complete checkout if Trax opens a payment page.

What to expect:

  • The product is added to the existing subscription, not to a new subscription.
  • If payment is required, Trax opens a payment page in a new tab.
  • If no payment is required, for example because account credit is applied, the change can complete immediately.

Increase seats

To increase seats for an existing product:

  1. Open Manage Products.
  2. In Current Products, select the product.
  3. Increase the seat count.
  4. Click Update Quantity.
  5. Review the proration message.
  6. Complete payment if Trax opens a payment page.

What to expect:

  • Seat increases take effect immediately.
  • Additional payment may be required.
  • If payment is required, an invoice or payment page can open in a new tab

Upgrade a product

To upgrade a product on a subscription:

  1. Open Manage Products.
  2. In Current Products, select the product.
  3. Click Upgrade/Downgrade.
  4. Choose the higher product or higher billing interval.
  5. Confirm the change.
  6. Complete payment if Trax opens a payment page.

What to expect:

  • Upgrades take effect immediately.
  • Additional payment may be required.
  • If payment is required, Trax opens a payment page in a new tab.
  • You cannot upgrade a product if the target product is already in the subscription.


Reduce seats

To reduce seats for an existing product:

  1. Open Manage Products.
  2. In Current Products, select the product.
  3. Lower the seat count.
  4. Click Update Quantity.
  5. Confirm the effective date shown in the dialog.

What to expect:

  • The lower seat count does not start immediately.
  • The change takes effect on that product's next billing date.
  • You can undo the scheduled reduction before it takes effect.


Downgrade a product

To downgrade a product:

  1. Open Manage Products.
  2. In Current Products, select the product.
  3. Click Upgrade/Downgrade.
  4. Choose the lower product or lower billing interval.
  5. Confirm the downgrade.

What to expect:

  • Downgrades are scheduled for the end of the current billing period.
  • The current product stays active until the effective date.
  • You can undo the scheduled downgrade before it takes effect.
  • You cannot downgrade a product if the target product is already in the subscription.

Cancel a product

To cancel a product on a subscription:

  1. Open Manage Products.
  2. In Current Products, select the product.
  3. Click Cancel product.
  4. Confirm the cancellation date shown in the dialog.

What to expect:

  • The product stays active until the end of its current billing period.
  • The cancellation is scheduled, not immediate.
  • You can undo the scheduled cancellation before it takes effect.


Undo a scheduled change

To undo a scheduled change:

  1. Open Manage Products.
  2. Select the product that has a scheduled change.
  3. Click the available undo action:
  • Undo scheduled cancellation
  • Undo scheduled downgrade
  • Undo scheduled quantity change
  1. Confirm the action.

What to expect:

  • The previously scheduled change is removed.
  • The product stays on its current plan and seat count.
